For the placement of Glidewell HTâ„¢ Implants in extremely dense bone, it may be necessary to utilize a thread-forming screw tap corresponding to the diameter of the implant body. Due to the tap design and implant cutting efficiency, one tap is used for multiple implant lengths. The coronal head of each screw tap is slightly flared, resulting in a gentle expansion of the cortical plate for receiving the wider neck of the implant.
